New Amsterdam Pharma is preparing for the launch of its first commercial product, obicetrapib, and seeks an experienced, business-minded Commercial Counsel to support launch readiness and the buildout of commercial capabilities. This attorney will partner closely with Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Compliance, and other functions to develop practical, compliant solutions that advance the business and support patients. The ideal candidate is a positive, solutions-oriented legal partner with strong business and legal judgment, a roll‑up-your-sleeves mentality, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Core expertise should include market access, trade and distribution, and patient support programs, with familiarity in HCP engagements, sales, marketing and other commercial programs, and review of promotional and non‑promotional materials.

• Market Access:
  Advise on payer and PBM engagement, formulary access, contracting, pricing, reimbursement, rebate arrangements, government program considerations, and other access initiatives.
• Trade & Distribution:
  Counsel on channel strategy, wholesaler and specialty pharmacy relationships, distribution arrangements, service‑fee structures, data arrangements, inventory/product‑flow issues, and related contracts.
• Patient Support Programs:
  Advise on benefits verification, prior authorization support, copay assistance, patient assistance programs, adherence and education services, privacy, fraud and abuse, and hub/vendor relationships.
• Strategic Partnership, Contracting and General Support Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the commercial organization before and after launch, translating legal and regulatory requirements into clear, practical, business‑oriented advice. Partner with business leaders to understand objectives, anticipate issues, assess risk in context, and develop creative, compliant paths forward. Support launch strategies, capabilities, policies, business processes, and cross‑functional decision‑making across Legal, Compliance, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Finance, Market Access, Patient Services, and other functions.
  
  Take ownership of matters from issue identification through resolution, working hands‑on with business partners in a fast‑moving environment where priorities may shift quickly. Draft, review, and negotiate agreements supporting launch and commercialization; develop scalable templates, playbooks, processes, policies, training, and commercial legal capabilities as the organization grows.
• HCP Engagements & Sales, Marketing and other Commercial Programs:
  Provide or coordinate legal guidance on advisory boards, speaker programs, consulting engagements, sponsor ships, congress activities, exhibits, business rationale, FMV, contracting, and related compliance considerations.
