Position: Work Planning & Execution Lead 3 (Supply Chain)

NOTE:
This position will be based in our Houston, TX office located in the City Center area.

Position Summary

The Supply Chain organization is responsible for the management of the flow of goods and services which includes all procurement, development, manufacturing, and logistics activities to support overhead and client project execution. Supply Chain manages the active streamlining of NuScale’s supply-side activities to maximize customer value and gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace. The Work Planning & Execution Lead reports to the Sr.

Director, Supply Chain and directly supports department management in the day-to-day coordination and technical planning of work activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with technical discipline managers and project teams to plan project work that requires resources from the functional area to develop detailed execution plans, analyze critical paths and other project metrics to ensure project health.
  • Support effective work execution in the functional area by monitoring and measuring resource allocation and leveling.
  • Interface with project teams on behalf of discipline managers and leads to support schedule status updates, work planning, and functional area inputs to project change orders.
  • Coordinate with the other disciplines (e.g., Engineering, QA, Regulatory Affairs, Services) and project teams to plan the implementation of approved design changes and project scopes that require planning inputs from the functional area, including the development of detailed scope descriptions and resource estimates.
  • Provide updates to various audiences on work status, functional area health, and technical and performance risks by means of reports, presentations, and other formats.
  • Interface and coordinate with cross-functional teams as required to support successful execution of functional area work activities.
  • Supporting the functional manager, prepare functional area resource estimates and execution plans for new commercial projects and communicate with project teams regarding resource availability and/or hiring needs prior to project initiation.
  • Support department-wide organizational and business process improvement and standardization initiatives.
  • Write and review reports, and maintain intra-department communication mechanisms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Skills, Qualifications and Abilities
    • Education/Certification: A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/operations management, construction management, or business is required.
