Inventory Analyst (Supply Chain) Description
Our client, an industrial components manufacturer, is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Analyst to support inventory accuracy and supply chain efficiency. In this role, you will analyze inventory data, forecast needs, and optimize inventory flow across a high-volume warehouse. The Houston warehouse maintains $10–20M in inventory across 6,000 SKUs, making accurate tracking, analysis, and reporting critical. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys data-driven decision-making, forecasting, and optimizing inventory flow in a high-volume environment.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Sales to ensure products are available when needed while maintaining system integrity and operational efficiency. This role offers a clear pathway to advance into senior inventory, supply chain, or operations analytics positions within the organization.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across all products and materials
- Conduct cycle counts and full audits; reconcile system vs. physical inventory
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Create and manage part numbers, product records, and BOMs in ERP
- Process inventory transactions
- Create and expedite purchase orders with vendors
- Support inventory replenishment and material planning
- Generate and track in-house and third-party manufacturing orders
- Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures and safety standards
- Identify and support process improvements across supply chain operations
- 2- or 4-year college degree required
- Experience in inventory control, supply chain, or operations with a focus on data reporting required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
- Must be able to work onsite in Houston, TX
