AOA - Add-On Accessories Specialist Summary
Delivery Specialists are responsible for familiarizing customers with the use of their new vehicles by explaining and connecting the cars technology and personalizing settings on the vehicle for individual customers.
Duties and responsibilities- Inspect sold vehicles to identify any physical concerns and make those on the back of the New Car delivery list
- Prepare vehicles for delivery to customers.
- Demonstrate vehicle functions and technology, including pairing their devices, downloading and demonstrating apps, etc.
- Ascertain customer’s accessory needs, review appropriate selections and recommend orders to customers. Order with parts department, as necessary.
- Explain factory complementary maintenance
- Review location and hours of the service department, ascertain that first service appointment is set
- Maintain delivery bay by sweeping and keeping the area free of debris
- Assist with physical inventory
- Assist in maintaining key security
- Perform various duties as needed; locate cars for dealer trade, follow salesperson to deliver vehicle, help fill in front lot
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail experience, or similar, that demonstrates sales ability
- Eager to learn the auto industry and pursue a career
- High school diploma or GED
- 4 years clear driving record
- No previous DUI history or moving violations - Willingness to learn advanced knowledge of new car technology
- Detail oriented with customer service focus
- Enthusiastic, thorough and dependable
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Works well with little or no supervision
- Ethical Conduct with clean & neat appearance
- Ability to multitask
This job operates in various types of vehicles and business environments that may include loud noises, odors or weather conditions. Driving is mostly during the day but can be required to drive in low light conditions. Mostly working with customers while standing or sitting in delivery bays in various temperatures.
Physical DemandsSafely drive a variety of vehicles in inclement weather or road conditions, load and unload packages up to 30 lbs. Follow established motor vehicle rules and laws. May sit, walk or stand for long periods of time in all weather and temperature conditions. Repetitive use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, pushing, grasping, hearing, seeing and talking.
PositionType/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Evening, Holiday and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
TravelThis position requires 10% travel beyond delivery areas.
Valid driver's license is required, and all applicants must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
