Salary Range: $48,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually
Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced, detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to assist in management of all lubricant, fuel and parts inventory. While this position will be based in Houston, Texas, this role requires regular travel to other company warehouses and operating locations to support standardization, training, and operational alignment.
The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, and demand forecast planning.
Key Responsibilities Inventory Oversight & Strategic Planning- Assist in evaluating new products, suppliers, and technologies to enhance product offerings and margin performance
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain Director and Manager of Supply & Procurement and operational leadership to develop and execute ordering strategies, inventory controls, and supply chain optimization plans
- Assist in forecasting and demand planning efforts to ensure appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolescence
- Monitor open lubricant orders and purchase orders across all warehouses to ensure timely fulfillment and accuracy
- Monitor and respond to inquiries submitted through the “Lube Analytics” mailbox in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain data integrity across inventory systems, ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and reconciliation
- Accurately create, manage, and receive inventory and non-inventory purchase orders
- Conduct inventory reviews and operational assessments
- Manage vendor pricing, maintain accurate pricing records, and ensure alignment with company margin objectives
- Support rebate programs, cost tracking, and supplier performance management
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and accounting to develop new inventory tracking procedures and optimize current methods
- Work with IT to create tracking dashboards to provide increases visibility
- Travel to other company warehouse locations as needed to
- Ensure standardization of processes and SOP adherence
- Provide hands‑on training and support
- Collaborate cross-functionally with tank operations, dispatch, drivers, sales, and procurement teams to ensure seamless coordination
- Develop and track KPIs related to inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, order fulfillment, and cost control
- Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on performance trends, risks, and opportunities
- Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and scalability
- Promote sustainability and responsible handling, storage, and transportation of lubricant products
- Optimize warehouse layout, capacity, and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Skills:
Ability to assess operational challenges and implement effective solutions - Regulatory & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety standards related to lubricant handling and storage
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP/WMS systems
Houston, Texas will serve as the primary work location.
Regular travel (estimated 20–40%) to other warehouse and operational locations
