Logistics Associate
Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility The primary function of this role is to perform assignments related to inbound logistics, dock-to-dock inventory location controls, and outbound logistics. The main focus areas include interfacing with the inventory control system through the Legacy system and quoting customer equipment.
Responsibilities Stay updated on all PSI Program changes. Maintain compliance with Anexo 24 and Article 303 by developing a workable and effective strategy with reasonable care and due diligence to avoid exposure to penalties, fines, or the loss of import privileges. Maintain continuous communication with the U.S. Warehouse and the Shipping Department to verify that imported and exported goods are properly documented.
Maintain continuous communication with freight companies to ensure the timely pickup of shipments. Keep parts (raw materials) cost information updated in the PSI database. Maintain a daily report of all import/export movements, including departure and arrival times and red light inspections. Follow up on all import/export shipments from the time they leave the Plant/U.S. Warehouse until they reach their destination, keeping the U.S. Warehouse, Shipping Department, Production, Immediate Supervisor, and Plant Manager informed.
Maintain strict control of truck safety seals in accordance with C-TPAT requirements. Prepare Imported and Exported Equipment Reports for the Accounting Department (Monthly Statistics Report for SECON). Prepare the Annual Operations Report for SECON. Inspect products based on the quality checklist and notify the supervisor of any discrepancies. Record inventory transactions. Make routine adjustments to work area machines or systems.
Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 0–1 years of related experience. Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to read and understand routine written procedures, notices, bulletins, and other work-related documents. Demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts to achieve group objectives and work collaboratively to reach joint decisions.
Preferred Qualifications Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required for higher levels of the position. Logistics knowledge/experience preferred.
