We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Logistics Dispatcher with advanced Excel expertise to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will coordinate shipments, schedule loads, allocate carriers, and ensure compliance with shipping requirements while leveraging strong data management and Excel skills to optimize dispatch operations.

As a Logistics Dispatcher, you will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching loads according to customer requests or business needs, managing carrier allocations and tendering processes, maintaining accurate shipping records, and reconciling production and shipping data. You will use dispatch software alongside Microsoft Office tools—especially Excel—for tracking, reporting, and analysis.

• Schedule and dispatch loads based on customer requests and operational requirements.
• Allocate loads to carriers and manage the tendering process efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping records and reconcile production/shipping data.
• Use dispatch software and Microsoft Excel for shipment tracking, reporting, and data analysis.
• Generate and maintain compliance documentation and audit trails.
• Collaborate with internal teams and carriers to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is critical for this role. Key applications include:

• Load scheduling and routing using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and conditional formatting.
• Tracking carrier performance through data entry, formulas, and charts.
• Formatting shipping documents and maintaining compliance audit trails.
• Reporting and forecasting with pivot tables, macros, and data validation techniques.
• Automating repetitive dispatch tasks using macros and custom formulas.
• Creating real-time shipment tracking dashboards and carrier performance reports.

• Strong knowledge of freight operations and logistics processes.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with route planning, GPS navigation, and dispatch software tools.
• Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and organization.
• Effective customer service and communication abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
