Senior Expeditor

Job Summary

In this role, you will participate in the planning, staffing, and budgeting of project expediting operations. You will distribute workload, monitor assignments, evaluate production schedules and progress, and develop procedures. You will contact suppliers, initiate follow-up, monitor quality, and prepare supplier evaluations. Your planning and problem‑solving will ensure expediting operations meet project needs.

• Plan, staff, and budget project and area expediting operations for small‑sized projects.
• Distribute workload to project expeditors based on experience, ability, complexity, and urgency.
• Contact suppliers to obtain timely submission of engineering data, and follow up on material acquisition, production progress, and shipment.
• Evaluate producers' schedules and progress reports to ensure supplier programs meet jobsite requirements.
• Coordinate with planning, scheduling, material coordinators, and construction to establish priorities, sequences, and delivery dates.
• Expedite Bechtel engineering for timely review, approval, and return of supplier‑submitted engineering data.
• Participate in pre‑ and post‑award meetings to review schedules and potential problem areas that may impact shipment dates.
• Coordinate shipping arrangements or tracking requests with the project logistics representative.

Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.

• Experience in project expediting operations.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of engineering data requirements and supply chain processes.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
