Location: Houston, TX (Onsite with the opportunity for one remote workday per week after 90 days, based on performance)
What You’ll DoIn this role, you’ll focus on managing key supply chain responsibilities such as sourcing materials for stock and special orders, developing and maintaining vendor relationships, managing inventory accuracy, and optimizing processes. By collaborating with multiple departments, you’ll play a critical role in streamlining our supply chain operations and driving profitability through effective negotiation and problem‑solving.
Key Responsibilities- Help with material ordering for all three of our warehouse locations (TX, CO, IL)
- Oversee import and domestic shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Collaborate with the Receiving and Warehouse teams to maintain and adjust inventory levels as needed
- Partner with the Sales team to answer RFQs and source materials
- Analyze and compare vendor quotes and select suppliers based on cost, quality, lead times, and service
- Assist the Accounting team with pricing disputes or purchase order discrepancies
- Support the Sales team by addressing customer product issues with manufacturers and processing claims
Negotiate material quotes if needed to maximize profitability - Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations
- Handle other tasks as assigned to support the team
- Assist with special projects to streamline supply chain operations involving new website, ERP system, or new analytical software
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business preferred
Preferred Experience: Supply Chain, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Logistics, ERP Systems
Skills- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to adapt and a willingness to learn
- Effective time management in a fast-paced environment
- A positive, team-oriented mindset
Note: Both drug screen and background check will be conducted.
