Bilingual Procurement Specialist

Description

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support procurement operations within a manufacturing environment. This contract opportunity is based in Houston, Texas, and is well suited for a Spanish-speaking candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, execution-focused role. The position centers on daily procure-to-pay activity, vendor coordination, and timely issue resolution to help keep purchasing processes running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

- Create and process purchase requisitions accurately in ERP and procurement systems to support ongoing operational needs.

- Track purchase orders through receipt and coordinate with internal teams to ensure goods receipts are completed on time.

- Investigate and assist with routine invoice issues by working with vendors and stakeholders to clear mismatches efficiently.

- Serve as the initial point of contact for procure-to-pay questions, providing prompt support and escalating more complex matters when needed.

- Maintain accurate procurement records and follow established buying procedures, budget guidelines, and internal controls.

- Collaborate with cross-functional partners across customer service, finance, and operations to support day-to-day purchasing activity.

- Monitor transaction status and follow up proactively to reduce delays in ordering, receiving, and invoice processing.

Requirements

- At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or procure-to-pay support.

- Hands-on experience working with ERP platforms and procurement tools such as Coupa or similar systems.

- Working knowledge of purchase requisitions, goods receipts, invoice reconciliation, and related buying processes.

- Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and follow through on operational tasks with minimal supervision.

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a high-volume transactional environment.

- Background in manufacturing or another operationally driven industry is preferred.
