Transdev in Houston, TX is hiring a Dispatch Operations Specialist. The Dispatch Operations Specialist oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients.

• Competitive compensation package: minimum $19.50/hour – maximum $24.25/hour
• Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
• Sick days: 5 days
• Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating)

• Oversee issuance of all routes, ensuring timely start, monitoring performance, and recording all incidents
• Verify all drivers’ licenses and DOT cards are valid
• Inspect employees for uniform compliance
• Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns related to drivers (e.g., no shows, cancellations, missed trips)
• Manage emergency situations for vehicles and operators, acting as liaison between the carrier and emergency services
• Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations impacting customer service
• Perform other duties as required

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Technical Degree preferred
• 3–5 years’ experience in dispatching
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason

• Sit for extended periods (6–8 hours per day)
• Pull and lift objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
