Import Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Import Specialist to join our dynamic supply chain team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end import process, ensuring seamless coordination of shipments, compliance with international trade regulations, and optimal logistics cost. • Review and manage international shipping documentation such as Bill of Lading (BL), Commercial Invoices (CI), Packing Lists (PL), and customs declarations/ clearance including Importer Security Filing (ISF), Automated Export System (AES), Entry Summary.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners, and freight forwarders to streamline logistics operations and optimize costs.
• Ensure strict compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, and trade documentation requirements; maintain accurate records for auditing purposes.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency across procurement, sourcing, and warehouse activities.
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex international logistics challenges, proactively monitor shipment statuses, resolve delays, and manage shipment exceptions.

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business (preferred）
• 5+ years previous experience in supply chain management with a focus on import logistics;
  Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, import regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures, freight forwarding, shipping & receiving protocols, transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management system (WMS), ERP systems and MS Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure
• Experience managing customs brokers and third-party trade-related service providers
• Experience defining and tracking logistics KPIs and using data for continuous improvement
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance requirements.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating across multiple stakeholders including suppliers, carriers, forwarders, 3PL, warehouse, finance and management.
