SUMMARY

Provides supply and logistical support to the Soldier Recovery Unit (SRU) S4 Section. The Supply Specialist supports supply accountability, facility operations, purchasing, budgeting, transportation, vehicle management, and the in-processing and out-processing of Soldiers in Transition and Cadre. The position maintains records and trackers, coordinates with internal and external organizations, prepares reports and briefing materials, and assists with the SRU’s command supply discipline program.

ESSENTIAL

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintain daily accountability and a constant presence in the S4 Section to support logistics operations.
  • Serve as the supply section's in-processing and out-processing center for Soldiers in Transition, Cadre, and other SRU arrivals and departures.
  • Coordinate and support the in-processing and out-processing of unit Warriors.
  • Pick up supplies from the BAMC warehouse, including supplies weighing more than 40 pounds at times.
  • Assist the S4 Supervisor with routine supply pickups at BAMC supply docks.
  • Receive and document internal and external taskings for accountability and action completion.
  • Maintain a Soldier Equipping and Asset Management account to provide property-accountability relief for the Command Team.
  • Process Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss for the Command Team.
  • Prepare and process Government Purchase Card purchase packets.
  • Assist with tracking and updating identified battalion future purchases and the annual budgeting program.
  • Serve as an alternate for monitoring the unit budget.
  • Coordinate with internal and external agencies, in accordance with prescribed guidance, to assist with preparing and publishing the battalion command supply discipline program and budget analysis.
  • Collect data and prepare command-directed reports related to logistics and budget analysis.
  • Update monthly trackers.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections.
  • Process SRU facility work-order requests in NEXGEN.
  • Process furniture work-order requests.
  • Correspond with contractors and assist with planning maintenance work.
  • Maintain supply, logistics, facility, purchasing, and accountability records.
  • Coordinate transportation for events.
  • Dispatch General Services Administration vehicles, conduct vehicle inspections, and process vehicles for turn-in or disposition.
  • Prepare presentation slides and attend required Company and Battalion meetings and training.
  • Represent the S4 Section during staff meetings and provide briefings.
  • Forward correspondence received from all organizational levels to Company leadership and Platoon and Squad Leaders.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • General knowledge of logistics and military supply allocations.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to comply with BAMC immunization and health requirements at initial employment and thereafter, as required by applicable Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Department of Defense guidance.
  • Must maintain the immunizations and health status necessary to be administratively processed and cleared to perform services at BAMC.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak fluent English, and be computer literate.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
