Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with PM Inspectors, Technicians and Evaluation personnel to identify parts required for Pressure Relief Valve repairs and overhauls.
  • Review inspection reports, evaluation findings, OEM documentation, and historical repair records to accurately Identify and assign the correct Puffer internal part numbers (PSI) for all required repair components.
  • Update material requirements for repair orders within the ERP system.
  • Source Pressure Relief Valve repair parts through internal inventory, approved suppliers, OEM manufacturers, and third-party vendors.
  • Obtain supplier quotations, pricing, lead times, and availability for required components as required to support the creation of the Advised Costs Reports.
  • Develop and maintain expertise across major Pressure Relief Valve manufacturers and product lines.
  • Maintain and Update the Bill Of Material Parts Tool to reflect the correct, current PSI numbers for the specified parts.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Knowledge

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Pressure Relief Valve repair components, construction, and maintenance practices.
  • Working knowledge of major Pressure Relief Valve OEM product lines including, but not limited to Consolidated, Crosby, Farris, Anderson Greenwood and other industry-standard manufacturers.
  • Knowledge of material sourcing, procurement processes, inventory control, and ERP systems.

Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct experience working with Pressure Relief Valves and their components.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying valve repair components across multiple OEM brands and models.
  • Experience sourcing industrial repair parts through OEM and third-party suppliers.
  • Experience working within ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise resource planning platforms.
  • Ability to interpret OEM drawings, parts breakdowns, bills of material, and repair documentation.
  • Experience supporting repair operations within an industrial valve service, maintenance, or manufacturing environment preferred.

COMPETENCIES

  • Strong technical knowledge of Pressure Relief Valve components and repair requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and material management processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative team-oriented approach.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of urgency regarding production schedules and delivery commitments.
