SLB is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sourcing Lead - Chemicals to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives that strengthen supply continuity, drive value creation, and support critical business objectives across a complex global supply network. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to influence sourcing decisions, optimize supplier performance, and deliver sustainable procurement outcomes.

This position offers the opportunity to shape sourcing strategies, lead high-impact commercial negotiations, and contribute directly to operational excellence and long-term business performance.
Roles and Responsibilities- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives that support business objectives, supply continuity, and cost competitiveness.
- Manage sourcing projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with stakeholder priorities and category strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to maximize value, innovation, and performance.
- Drive competitive sourcing events and commercial negotiations to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and functional teams to align sourcing activities and execute strategic initiatives.
- Monitor project execution, supplier performance, and sourcing effectiveness to ensure delivery of expected results.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and optimize total cost of ownership across the supply base.
- Ensure sourcing activities are conducted in alignment with company policies, governance requirements, and compliance standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within a global business environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial negotiations, contract management, cost analysis, and sourcing project leadership.
- Strong ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple functions, regions, and organizational levels.
- Experience sourcing chemicals or managing chemicals-related categories is highly preferred.
- Chemical Engineering background is considered a strong asset.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and relationship management skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
