Houston - Expeditor

Position:
Expeditor – Full‑time day shift.

Location:

Houston, Texas 77002. Travel: up to 25%. This role reports to the Head of Procurement.

• Monitor progress during site visits, identify schedule improvement opportunities, and coordinate information requests between the fabricator and Procurement.
• Provide post‑visit reports to the Procurement Director.
• Generate RFQ packages for supplier bidding.
• Review quotations, prepare bid tabulations, and recommend vendor selection.
• Create procurement requisitions including Scope of Work, Drawings, Specifications, ITP, etc.
• Manage purchase orders, conduct kick‑off meetings, review weekly status reports, expedite (occasionally in‑person), and attend inspections as needed.
• Coordinate between vendors, in‑house project management, engineering, and quality control groups.
• Ensure on‑time deliveries per purchase order.
• Travel on company business to visit sites, review progress, expedite work, and develop or maintain vendor relationships.
• Address vendor errors, budget limitations, and other emerging issues, find cost‑saving opportunities, and request budget increases when necessary.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to gather job status information, prepare clear presentations, and schedule meetings.
• Adhere to established ISO procedures, policies, instructions, and guidelines.
