Objective:
The objective of an Expeditor II with greater leadership and experience is to efficiently direct and optimize supply chain operations within a company. This involves not only coordinating shipments and receipts but also leading an expediting team, overseeing daily activities, solving complex problems, and making strategic decisions to improve operational efficiency.
In addition to ensuring timely deliveries and efficient inventory management, an Expeditor II with greater leadership is responsible for developing and training the team, establishing effective procedures and policies, and collaborating with other departments to optimize material flow and improve customer service quality.
In summary, the objective of an experienced and leadership-driven Expeditor II is to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the company's supply chain, leading teams, implementing continuous improvements, and contributing to the organization's overall success in terms of logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Maintain updated records of order progress.
• Ensure full compliance with Assurance, SQS, and TCC policies and adhere to all applicable corporate and local procedures for the position function.
• Planning, development, and administration in support of projects or other operational requirements.
• Participate in the development and implementation of procurement strategy.
• Support the development and deployment of supply chain policies and processes and ensure their compliance, with special reference to ethical standards.
• Provide guidance and support to the Expediting team on various tasks and projects and communicate with clients and suppliers regarding invoice status and payments.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of Expediting plans for projects.
• Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop mitigation plans.
• Assist in coordinating shipments and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Verify all invoice information, including costs, quantities, and extensions.
• Collaborate with the accounting department in the invoicing process.
• Coordinate or execute in the tracking process in supplier workshops, tracking and managing supplier inventory in process (WIP) of suppliers.
• Propose and monitor action plans related to Expediting.
• Coordinate follow-ups in supplier workshops.
• Receive supervision from Expediting Leader, Hub Manager, Project Procurement Managers.
• Deep analytical and financial knowledge.
• Internal and external client management.
• Thorough knowledge of the procurement process; from purchase and contracting to payment.
• Knowledge in inventory management, logistics, and tracking systems.
• Expertise in supply chain systems and digital tools.
• Experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.
• Global experience in supply chain management, supplier management, contract management, and negotiations.
Requirements:
- Professional in engineering, administrative careers, or related fields.
- Experience between 3 and 9 years in similar positions as Expeditor and in EPCM projects/companies in the Oil&Gas sector.
- Advanced B2 or C1 level of English is required.
