Martin Foods, LP is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Lead to oversee the sourcing and procurement of packaging, ingredients, spices, supplies, and other materials essential to our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this role is responsible for supplier management, inventory planning, and procurement execution, ensuring materials are available at the right quality, cost, and time to support operational excellence.
DescriptionMartin Foods, LP is seeking a highly motivated Procurement Lead to oversee the sourcing and procurement of packaging, ingredients, spices, supplies, and other materials essential to our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this role is responsible for supplier management, inventory planning, and procurement execution, ensuring materials are available at the right quality, cost, and time to support operational excellence.
The Procurement Lead serves as a critical business partner to Operations, Production, Quality, Finance, R&D, and Sales, collaborating across the organization to support customer service, profitability, and growth objectives. This individual will develop strong supplier relationships, optimize inventory and procurement strategies, and help drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills, business acumen, and commercial judgment with the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes. This role requires a proactive mindset, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and a passion for identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and overall supply chain performance.

What Success Looks Like In The First 12 Months- Master procurement processes, ERP systems, and supplier relationships.
- Independently manage assigned purchasing categories and inventory levels.
- Develop actionable insights through reporting and analytics.
- Contribute measurable improvements in supplier performance, inventory management, cost control, or process efficiency.
- Own the procurement of packaging, ingredients, spices.
- Develop expertise on how materials perform on the plant floor and support continuous improvement in manufacturing operations and supply chain.
- Manage supplier relationships and support price and service negotiations.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory planning activities.
- Assist with new product launches and material sourcing efforts.
- Maintain ERP data integrity and support Power BI and reporting initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally to improve supply chain performance and customer service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- Strong Excel, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with supplier relationships, negotiating, and inventory management.
- Interest in building a career in procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing.
- Transferable experience and knowledge from related roles preferred, but not required.
