Role Overview Are you a logistics professional who thrives under pressure, excels at operational problem-solving, and knows how to keep freight moving seamlessly? We are recruiting an Account Operations Coordinator to join a dynamic control tower team. In this pivotal role, you will own the day-to-day operational execution for key customer accounts, managing shipment life cycles, optimizing loads, and serving as the calm, dependable point of contact when exceptions arise.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Account & Customer Ownership:
Serve as the primary operational liaison, handling high-volume customer inquiries, managing expectations, and navigating escalations with clarity and composure. - Load Optimization & Consolidation:
Analyze load and shipment boards to make smart, data-driven consolidation decisions based on established decision trees. - Shipment Lifecycle Management:
Track and manage domestic ground freight (FTL, LTL, Intermodal) from initial booking all the way to final invoicing. - System Reconciliation:
Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and customer portals to schedule appointments, manage dock times, and keep records synchronized. - Exception Management:
Swiftly identify, summarize, and resolve shipping exceptions—distinguishing one-off issues from systemic trends to protect program SLAs. - Clean Handovers:
Execute structured shift end-of-day checklists to ensure open commitments and critical updates transfer seamlessly to the next team.
salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

Experience supporting a high-value or security-sensitive customer program with prescriptive SOPs and defined escalation paths.
- Experience working from a customer order platform or portal and reconciling it against an internal TMS.
- Familiarity with appointment scheduling and dock management tools.
- Understanding of cross-border documentation requirements and specialized handling.
- Comfort distinguishing a one-off exception from a systemic gap, and the judgment to route each to the right place.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability across a high-volume request queue.
