Overview
Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Maintenance Specialist opportunity at NDX Stern Dental Lab in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities- General facility maintenance including interior and exterior maintenance.
- Service and repair laboratory equipment and well as send out for repair, if needed
- Build shelves, carts, and perform minor carpentry projects
- Clean and fill sand-blasting machines
- Replace air filters, service, maintain air compressors and elevator
- Assist in setting up annual service calls and inspections.
- Replace and repair fluorescent light bulbs and fixtures
- Maintain tools, janitorial and maintenance equipment in an organized manner
- Order and stock repair parts
- Perform routine maintenance on all machinery such as milling machines.
- Initiate Preventative Maintenance program, create tracking/log for equipment, ensure equipment maintenance to manufacturer’s standards. Also manage equipment warranties and schedule warranty preventative maintenance.
- Train in Lock out Tag Out and oversee LOTO program
- Active lab safety committee member
- Perform daily janitorial duties as assigned of the laboratory, including but not limited to department trash removal, general clean up, etc.
- Service and maintain autoclave as well as submit testing strips for testing monthly.
- Conduct and oversee lab remodels as needed
- Assist Laboratory Administrator in Hot Shot delivery as needed.
- Assist in relocation efforts as needed
- Work with vendors to get quotes on equipment and remodeling projects
- Manage equipment warranties/timing and preventative maintenance.
- All other duties as assigned
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Working knowledge of equipment, materials and supplies used in building maintenance.
- Knowledge in the proper and safe techniques of building maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions and to establish effective working relationships.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Preferred: 5 years previous maintenance experience
- All equipment and chemicals utilized in the laboratory for production or maintenance
- Must maintain a current driver’s license in the State of Texas
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time repeated bending and kneeling.
- Must be able to work from ladders or aerial work platforms.
- Work involves walking, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The team member may be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry up to 80 pounds
- Valid Driver License
