Job DescriptionFluid Flow serves the industrial marketplace with a comprehensive line of compressed air, filtration, measurement and control, and process equipment products and services from leading manufacturers. Candidates with experience repairing desiccant dryers, rotary screw compressors, and centrifugal compressors are encouraged to apply. Candidates will work from a company-provided service truck and may live anywhere in the Houston, Texas area. We sell premium compressed air equipment with a captive aftermarket. We repair this equipment on-site and on-demand to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical and electrical duties to repair, maintain, survey, and commission compressed air equipment.
- Resolve customer-initiated technical issues.
- V i sit customer sites for courtesy calls on days without paid jobs.
- Work with Fluid Flow Account Managers and management to increase Service and aftermarket revenue.
- Travel to assist other Fluid Flow Technicians as needed.
- Be an ambassador for the Company.
- Remove, rebuild, and replace valves weighing up to 60 pounds, unassisted.
- Remove and replace pipe spools up to 8‘ in diameter.
- P e rform electrical tests with a voltmeter.
- Program, troubleshoot microprocessor and PLC-based equipment controls.
- Climb and work on scaffolding.
- Complete daily reports by computer.
- Dump and load air dryer desiccant by hand in 50# sacks.
- Learn and be able to start up and troubleshoot Fluid Flow supplied packages
- Be a technical resource to customers over the phone.
- Although the vast majority of jobs are on-site at the customer, be able to set up and perform some repairs/rebuilds in-house.
