Energy, Chemicals, and Utilities Transformation Managers optimize business capabilities, manage technology strategies and implementations, change and transformation on behalf of the client. They analyze and evaluate existing Business and Technology capabilities (organization, project management, service management and resources management). They define Business and IT objectives and identify gaps. They are responsible for the success of the transformation by designing the appropriate transformation roadmap and leading its execution.
They also carry out skills coaching and consulting. Transformation Managers understand the financial implications of their proposals. Their plans must increase the productivity and quality of the complete process and IT landscape and life cycle by using client standards and procedures, control and quality management, rationalization and automation. They use industry standards and best‑practices including a feasibility check and necessary adaptations for the client.
Skills and Experience
The Transformation Manager plans and steers projects. He develops solutions for complex functional and/or organizational problems. The solutions consider existing structures, best practice methods and their financial impact (both within and without the project itself), adapted to the individual client situation. She is a competent point of contact for the customer’s middle management. The Transformation Manager isn’t only a trusted adviser but also acts as a selective coach.
She supports reviews, documents, and shares acquired practical knowledge. She guarantees the quality of her results through broad knowledge of appropriate methods, clients, sectors and technology. For her division she contributes knowledge and generates new offers for customers.
- 6‑12 years of experience, Bachelor’s Degree.
- Proficient in Business Change Management, Industrialization, Business Architecture Knowledge.
- 2+ years of Energy, Utilities, or Chemicals experience.
- Progressing skills on Project Financials, KPIs & Reporting.
