Summary
Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for an Operations Manager at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome ("The" Astrodome), and NRG Arena.
We are seeking a unique Operations Manager to join our Operations team. Under general supervision, manages, coordinates, supervises, and directs personnel, subcontractors, and the daily activities involved in the successful execution of events and maintenance of the facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients' requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
• Oversee all aspects of operations including event coordination and services, rigging, housekeeping, event staffing, set-ups and changeovers, crowd and risk management, fire and life safety and ADA compliance.
• Manage subordinate supervisors who oversee employees in various functions.
• Implement and train all employees on the operating procedures, preventive maintenance schedules, emergency plans, and safety/risk management policies that conform to NRG Park standards.
• Assist in the preparation and negotiation of service agreements for event services, housekeeping services, maintenance, and other agreements as needed.
• Inspect conversions, construction, and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
• Authorize the requisition of equipment and supplies within budget guidelines.
• Act as a liaison between tenants and facility contractors as needed.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Demonstrate knowledge in operational procedures, facility rigging capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services, and technical requirements for the types of events anticipated at the facility.
• Demonstrate knowledge of practices and procedures related to event set-up and conversions; typical methods and techniques for cleaning and maintaining the facility equipment; and proper use and care of hand and power tools.
• Demonstrate ability to carry out tasks in a reliable, productive and expedient manner and be able to adhere to strict deadlines.
• Engage in much decision-making that is generally governed by procedure and guided by policy.

• Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches, event documents and preventive maintenance schedules.
