In this role, you will Lead daily terminal operations
  • Direct equipment, vehicle, and facility maintenance to ensure a safe, compliant, and fully functioning terminal
  • Monitor inbound/outbound equipment and partner closely with maintenance to reduce downtime
  • Oversee dispatching, routing, and transportation tracking to maximize service and profitability
Drive safety, training & compliance
  • Conduct and maintain safety training for forklifts, hazmat handling, and other required programs
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company standards
Build strong customer relationships and support sales efforts
  • Develop inland transportation quotations using LME tools
  • Use consultative selling to communicate the ATS value proposition
  • Drive sales results and support strategic commercial growth
Lead & develop your team
  • Provide daily direction, coaching, and support to ensure customer and operational needs are met
  • Manage performance using SMART goals, feedback, and progressive discipline
  • Foster a transparent, purpose-driven culture where expectations are clear and metrics drive results
Collaborate & problem-solve
  • Work cross-functionally with planning and operations to meet customer needs
  • Manage projects, budgets, goals, and processes for the terminal
  • Serve as an escalation point and make informed decisions consistent with departmental guidelines

Must Haves for Success
  • 5+ years' experience in transportation or a related field
  • 5+ years of successful supervisory/leadership experience
  • Strong team building and collaboration skills
  • Experience with B2B sales preferred
  • Solid understanding of marketing, sales, and customer service principles
  • Exceptional coordination, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to foster transparency, purpose, and accountability
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and apply data
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent communication skills verbal, written, and listening
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong map-reading and geographic knowledge
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute ideas
  • Willingness to travel infrequently, including occasional overnights
Physical Demands

This role involves hands-on work in an active terminal environment, including:

  • Frequent operation of forklifts and movement of equipment
  • Occasional use of hand/power tools
  • Frequent equipment inspections, climbing, and physically awkward positions
  • Lifting:
    • 125 lbs:

    • 2550 lbs:
      Occasionally
    • 50+ lbs:
      Occasionally
  • Regular exposure to loud noise, weather extremes, dirt, dust, grease, and odors
  • Use of PPE including eye protection and steel-toed boots
