Head of Compliance – Senior Leadership Role

A leading international financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance (PCF 12) to lead its Irish compliance function. This is a senior leadership opportunity offering significant regulatory responsibility, strategic input and regional stakeholder engagement within a complex, global operating environment.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced compliance professional who is comfortable operating at senior executive level, engaging with regulators and driving strong governance and control frameworks across a regulated investment or trading environment.

As Head of Compliance, you will hold PCF responsibility for the Irish regulated entity and will oversee the development, implementation and ongoing enhancement of the compliance framework. You will play a key role in shaping regulatory strategy, supporting business growth initiatives and ensuring robust risk management and regulatory adherence across the organisation.

• Hold PCF accountability for the Irish compliance function
• Represent Compliance at governance committees and senior management forums
• Act as a key point of contact for regulatory matters and supervisory engagement
• Provide high-quality, timely management information to senior leadership and boards

• Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks
• Provide practical regulatory advice to the business on new initiatives, products and strategic developments
• Support interpretation and implementation of regulatory change impacting the organisation

• Partner with senior Compliance and Risk stakeholders across international locations
• Contribute to wider compliance strategy and regional regulatory initiatives
• Support programmes designed to strengthen the overall control environment

• Strong academic or professional background in Compliance, Legal or a related discipline
• Significant experience within the Irish financial services sector
• Strong exposure to wealth, funds, custody or investment firm environments
• Deep knowledge of Irish regulatory frameworks and European regulatory regimes
• Experience working within a global or multi-jurisdictional organisation
• Strong understanding of individual accountability frameworks and regulatory conduct requirements
• Knowledge of trading, execution or market-related regulatory frameworks would be advantageous

• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at senior level
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences
• Strategic thinker with strong risk awareness
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive a strong compliance culture
