Sterling Engineering is looking for a Program Manager – SMR Product Management. This opportunity supports strategic leadership of an advanced nuclear product line, overseeing lifecycle management, commercialization strategy, and cross‑functional program execution.

Job Summary

The Program Manager will lead the development and execution of product management processes for a small modular reactor (SMR) product line. This role aligns technical direction with business objectives, manages lifecycle strategy, and drives cross‑functional collaboration to ensure long‑term product viability and profitability.

Job Duties
  • Establish and manage product lifecycle programs aligned with business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain commercialization roadmaps and top‑level product requirements.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to guide product direction.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams and lead initiatives without direct authority.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Identify program risks, resolve issues, and escalate challenges when necessary.
  • Support organizational alignment on priorities, profitability, and long‑term strategy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Sciences.
  • 10+ years of experience within the nuclear industry.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear reactor design or construction, modular fabrication, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with NRC regulatory frameworks, ASME standards, and nuclear quality programs.
  • Experience leading programs across cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
