- The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing and administering both client and subcontractor contracts to ensure full contractual alignment and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- This role provides daily contractual guidance to the Project Manager and leadership team, manages claims and variations, and ensures timely and accurate contractual communications.
- The position also leads and mentors the contract administration team to maintain discipline, traceability, and accuracy across all contractual documentation.
- Maintain complete understanding of client and subcontractor contracts, ensuring alignment at all times.
- Advise the Project Manager and team on contractual rights, obligations, and risks.
- Proactively manage upstream and downstream correspondence and contractual communications.
- Ensure timely handling of variations, claims, and change management processes.
- Lead and develop the contract administration team to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- 12 18 years of experience in contract or commercial management for large-scale construction or industrial projects.
- Strong experience managing both client and subcontractor contracts within active project environments.
- Proven ability to interpret complex contract terms and translate them into practical project guidance.
- Demonstrated experience managing claims, variations, and formal correspondence under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or Business Administration.
- Maintain awareness of daily project activities and link site events to contractual requirements.
- Provide timely advice to the Project Manager and functional leads regarding entitlements, risks, and compliance with notice provisions.
- Prepare and issue formal correspondence, notifications, and claims to clients and subcontractors in accordance with contract terms.
- Lead review and negotiation of subcontract terms and variations to ensure alignment with client contracts.
- Coordinate with project controls to align cost, schedule, and change management impacts with contractual submissions.
- Supervise and mentor Contract Administrators responsible for day-to-day contract management.
- Ensure all contractual records are properly documented, traceable, and compliant.
- Experience delivering large-scale data center or mission-critical facility projects.
- Professional certification in Contract or Commercial Management such as MRICS, CICES, or IACCM.
- Experience with FIDIC, NEC, or similar contract frameworks.
- Familiarity with project controls systems and cost management principles.
- Strong contract interpretation and negotiation skills.
- Excellent written communication for formal correspondence and claims.
- Risk assessment and mitigation expertise.
- Leadership and team development capabilities.
- Strong coordination skills across project management, construction, and supply chain teams.
- Site-based role requiring daily coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Regular interaction to manage communications, changes, and compliance.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Law, or Business Administration required.
