Our client, a leading large-format retail business, is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead a high-performing portfolio of stores across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
This is a senior leadership appointment suited to an accomplished Senior Area Manager or Regional Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven, big box retail environment. The successful candidate will lead, influence and develop Store Managers to deliver exceptional customer experience, strong commercial results and operational excellence across the region.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate national objectives into clear regional execution plans, while empowering stores to respond effectively to their local markets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, coach and inspire Store Managers to deliver outstanding customer, people and commercial performance across multiple large-format sites
- Drive a customer-first culture, ensuring service excellence and brand consistency across the region
- Translate strategic business priorities into clear, measurable regional action plans
- Deliver sustainable sales growth, profitability and cost control through strong commercial leadership
- Build capability and bench strength through effective succession planning and talent development
- Ensure operational excellence, compliance, health and safety standards and policy adherence across all locations
- Lead change initiatives with confidence, embedding new ways of working and driving continuous improvement
- Use data, insight and performance metrics to identify opportunities, reduce variability and optimise results
- Significant multi-site leadership experience within a large-format or big box retail environment
- Currently operating at Senior Area Manager or Regional Manager level
- Proven track record of leading leaders and delivering results across geographically dispersed locations
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with clear understanding of sales, margin, cost and profit drivers
- Confident performance manager with the ability to coach, influence and challenge constructively
- Strategic mindset with the ability to turn vision into practical, actionable plans
- Strong communicator who can engage and align stakeholders at all levels
- Resilient and adaptable, comfortable leading within a fast-paced, evolving retail environment
