The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple jobs related to capital improvements and construction as well as performing capital assessments of buildings and properties during the due diligence phase of acquisitions. The role ensures capital projects are completed on time, on budget, and with internal and external communication that meets best practices.
Responsibilities- Meet with external clients and internal associates to present status of projects and offer options related to improved efficiencies, problem solving, and alternative options to any given project. Also responsible for the overall management of capital projects assigned.
- Manage a team related to day‑to‑day renovation and repositioning projects and overall capital project oversight specific to an individual site. Develop scopes of work, timelines, and other parameters around the planning of a capital improvement, renovation, or construction related project.
- Administer all aspects of bidding with contractors, including sending out bid packages, assessing the accuracy and pricing of received bids, and providing a recommendation for the preferred contractor based on the information collected.
- Recommend and retain specialty engineers and architects as needed.
- Report internally and externally on capital projects, including timing, financial updates, and project quality.
- Interview, hire, train, and supervise associates related to renovations and repositioning on the projects assigned.
Many factors determine employee pay within the posted range, including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.

In addition to the base salary, the role may be eligible to participate in weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly bonus programs.
