Role Overview:
The General Manager will lead regional operations, business development, and sales initiatives. This role is responsible for driving sustainable growth while ensuring the highest levels of quality, service, operational efficiency, and compliance. The General Manager will build strong client relationships, oversee multi-site operations, and cultivate a culture that reflects CPL’s mission, values, and commitment to service excellence.
In this role you will:
- Drive continued growth through enhanced service offerings, improved customer relationships, and effective sales strategies.
- Maintain a deep understanding of healthcare industry trends to identify business needs and future growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand and retain laboratory market share.
- Manage P&L performance to meet both short‑ and long‑term organizational goals.
- Build and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by demonstrating credibility and industry expertise.
- Lead daily regional operations with a focus on strategy execution, culture, talent development, productivity, and efficiency.
- Foster an environment of excellence, accountability, and employee development.
- Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, and performance goals anchored in business development and superior client service.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as a visible representative of CPL’s values, vision, and services to customers, partners, and internal teams.
- Promote collaboration and open communication to solve problems, enhance operations, and support new business opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- MBA preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of progressive medical management experience, ideally within laboratory medicine.
- Proven experience managing multiple facilities and operational departments (e.g., Stat Labs, Patient Service Centers, Logistics, service teams).
- Demonstrated success in general operations management, business development, and organizational leadership.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze financial reports and negotiate contracts.
- Proven leadership presence and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinking paired with strong operational execution.
- Ability to build relationships, drive performance, and inspire high‑performing teams.
