what you'll do

quanta government solutions (qgs) is seeking an experienced contracts manager to support its federal and commercial infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for negotiating, administering, and managing contracts across the project lifecycle, from proposal review through project execution and closeout.

the contracts manager will work closely with the group general counsel and project leadership to identify and manage contractual risk, ensure compliance with contractual obligations, and support disciplined contract administration and change management across active projects.

this role requires strong legal and commercial judgment, the ability to independently analyze complex contractual issues, and comfort working directly with project managers, subcontractors, and customers in a fast-moving project environment.

because qgs performs work involving controlled unclassified information (cui), this position is limited to u.s. Citizens.

this is a full-time, in-person role based in houston, texas.

what you'll bring
  • 7+ years of relevant experience negotiating or advising on contracts in one or more of the following environments:
    • federal government contracting
    • construction, engineering, or epc projects
    • energy or infrastructure development
  • experience supporting active project execution, including change management, contract interpretation, and commercial issue resolution.
  • experience working directly with project managers, commercial teams, or business leadership in a project-driven environment.
  • demonstrated ability to review and mark up complex contracts and explain risk positions to non-legal stakeholders.

knowledge & skills

  • strong understanding of contract drafting, negotiation, and risk allocation.
  • experience working with prime and subcontract structures on large projects.
  • ability to independently evaluate contract language and identify material risk issues.
  • strong written and verbal communication skills.
