Job SummaryAs a Delivery Area Manager, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of parts and chemical order fulfillment and deliveries. In this role, you will utilize our route planning software in conjunction with ERP systems to optimize daily operations and manage driver performance and compliance.
Job Duties- Responsible for order management and delivery planning for assigned area(s)
- Will implement delivery schedules and define order placement guidelines to internal and external stakeholders
- Work with Sales, Service, and Customers to ensure all business needs are met and maintain industry leading service standards
- Managing dispatch board and driver performance/compliance
- Maintains physical condition of the warehouse facility to reflect cleanliness and organization through 5S/6S.
- Oversight and ownership of monthly cycle count program.
- Provide professional and technical expertise in the areas of warehouse management, inventory control and shipping and receiving to meet company and customers timeline.
- Responsible for timely and accurate delivery of supplies to technicians and customers as needed.
- Ensure all team members comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time
- Proficiency in logistics management software, TMS applications, route optimization and reporting
- Experience supervising at least 10 or more employees
- Excellent customer service and client relations skills
- Ability to use computers, software and other technology for inventory and communication purposes
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred
- 3-5 years of warehouse and WMS experience required
- Must be willing to travel 25% of time and on an irregular basis, as needed
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong time management skills, along with multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem-solving capabilities
- For qualification to drive a company vehicle:
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations within the past 5 years; no preventable, at-fault accidents within the past 5 years
- No impaired driving convictions, pending charges, or test refusals within the past 5 years
- Ability to lift medium weight up to 50 lbs.
- May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
- Ability to climb ladders safely
- May sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
Activities:
6 hours/day – Stand, Walk, Sit, Use hands, Reach with hands & arms, Stoop, kneel, crouch, Climb, Balance, Talk or hear, Look at a computer screen, Lift up to 50 lbs.
