Lead commercial and contractual activities for utility scale and distributed renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage, PPAs). Own negotiation, execution, and lifecycle management of EPC, O&M, supply, land, interconnection, and power purchase agreements to protect project value and ensure on time, compliant delivery.
Key Functions- Lead negotiation and drafting of EPC, O&M, PPA, land leases, interconnection agreements, equipment supply, and consultant contracts.
- Develop contracting strategies, risk allocation approaches, and standard contract templates aligned with project and corporate objectives.
- Identify contractual risks (liability caps, indemnities, performance guarantees, liquidated damages, force majeure) and implement mitigation measures; ensure regulatory and permitting compliance.
- Manage contract execution, amendments, claims, notices, close outs, and archiving; maintain contract register and KPIs.
- Work closely with legal, finance, procurement, engineering, construction, and asset management to align commercial terms with technical and financial requirements. Oversee supplier selection, RFPs, bid evaluation, and vendor performance against contractual obligations.
- Lead commercial negotiations for claims, change orders, and dispute resolution to minimize cost and schedule impacts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years in contract management within energy, construction, or infrastructure; 8+ years for senior roles; direct experience with renewable energy contracts (EPC, PPA, O&M) strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with project finance structures, grid interconnection processes, construction scheduling, and performance guarantee.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing complex workflows and deadlines.
- Experience working in fast-paced, international environments preferred.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
