This is a high-impact leadership role within a specialized regulatory accounting function, offering exposure to both executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team focused on financial and regulatory reporting
* Oversee preparation and review of FERC financial statements and filings, ensuring full compliance
* Manage GAAP financial reporting within a regulated environment
* Research and resolve technical accounting issues related to FERC and GAAP
* Partner with internal teams on rate cases, regulatory filings, and external audits
* Ensure compliance with SOX, internal controls, and regulatory frameworks
* Drive process improvement initiatives, including automation and reporting efficiencies
* Support financial analysis and reporting for leadership decision-making
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
* 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in energy or regulated industries
* Strong background in FERC reporting and regulatory compliance
* Prior leadership or supervisory experience
* Advanced technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
* CPA preferred
* Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud and/or Workiva a plus)
