Job Description & How to Apply Below
From the first subcontractor kickoff to the final punch list walkthrough, you'll have full authority over how this project gets delivered. That means managing a site team of 50+, holding subcontractors accountable, keeping the client informed, and making the tough calls when scope, budget, and timeline collide. The VP of Operations has a seat at the table for you if you can prove you deliver large-scale projects that finish on time, under budget, and incident-free.##
Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of project delivery - scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety - for a commercial development valued at $50M - $150M
* Build and lead the on-site project team, setting expectations, running weekly coordination meetings, and resolving conflicts between trades
* Develop the master project schedule, identify every critical path constraint, and intervene early when slippage threatens milestones
* Handle subcontractor procurement end to end: prequalification, bid evaluation, contract award, and performance management throughout the build
* Run monthly client progress meetings with polished reports covering earned value, schedule variance, cash flow, and open risks
* Enforce the company's zero-incident safety culture - conduct safety walks, chair incident reviews, and hold every team member accountable
* Drive project closeout with rigour: systematic punch lists, commissioning verification, warranty handover, and final cost reconciliation
* Feed lessons learned and constructability insights back into pre-construction and estimating to sharpen future project pursuits## Requirements
* A decade-plus track record managing commercial, mixed-use, or industrial construction projects from mobilisation through closeout
* PMP certification is required - LEED AP or DBIA credentials will strengthen your candidacy
* Demonstrated P&L ownership on projects valued at $50M or above, with verifiable budget performance outcomes
* Command of Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for schedule development and BIM coordination platforms for clash detection workflows
* Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations, local building codes, and permitting processes across Texas and the broader Southern US
* The leadership presence to manage site teams of 50+ - superintendents, project engineers, safety officers, and trade partners all look to you
* Contract savvy: you've negotiated and managed GMP, lump-sum, and design-build agreements and know where the commercial risks hide
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture
