Position: Country Regional Sales Director - CENTRAL REGION

JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company offering air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services.

Job Overview

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for the strategic and tactical oversight of commercial activities related to their assigned sales region to ensure company objectives are accomplished. The RSD will work with the Country Head of Sales and the Regional Vice President to deliver revenue and volume growth through effective sales leadership, new initiatives and strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve regional sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the Country Head of Sales to set commission, bonus and KPI targets.
  • Meet regularly with the Regional VP, Product VPs and Trade-Lane Heads for alignment of company goals.
  • Analyze the sales pipeline using the company CRM to identify growth potential.
  • Ensure adherence to the company’s Sales Policy.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities; develop relationships with key clients.
  • Represent the company at conferences, networking events and trade shows.
  • Oversee sales staffing, sourcing and hiring to meet objectives.
  • Host and attend sales meetings to review performance, provide training and collaboration.
  • Accompany sales team members on client visits and support complex service offers.
  • Complete Quarterly Business Reviews (Q ) with each salesperson in the region.
  • Conduct yearly performance evaluations for direct reports; manage hiring, firing and promotion.
  • Resolve personnel issues and coach staff to develop skills.

  • Conduct yearly performance evaluations for direct reports.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of Sales Management experience with proven leadership ability.
  • Experience in freight forwarding/logistics sales management.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of sales processes, market dynamics and trade lanes in the freight forwarding/logistics industry.
  • Ability to perform essential duties without posing a direct threat to health or safety.
  • Positive and effective interpersonal skills.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing or a related field (required or preferred).
  • Proven expertise in CRM software.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
  • In-depth knowledge of regional and global freight forwarding markets.
  • Direct experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • Track record of building, managing and scaling sales teams to achieve revenue growth and operational KPIs.
