The Senior Property Accounting Manager will lead accounting functions across multiple real estate holdings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations. This role includes financial reporting, cash management, budgeting, tax coordination, and overseeing internal controls while working closely with leadership and clients.
Key responsibilities include overseeing use of financial systems including MRI, AVID, and Treasury Management, building and maintaining strong client relationships, managing financial analyses including balance sheets, depreciation, draws, and escrow distributions, assisting with reporting, strategic planning, and forecasting, monitoring cash flow and capital needs for real estate development, reviewing CAM budgets and overseeing cash management with banking partners, supporting tax processes for 25+ entities (Partnerships, LLCs, and S-Corporations) and coordinating with CPA firms, developing tax strategies, overseeing franchise tax filings, and managing insurance programs, assisting with project lending and overseeing draw processes, leading annual budget preparation for corporate and project-level operations, and enhancing business processes and accounting policies to strengthen controls and efficiency.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required; CPA preferred but not required, 10–20 years of property management accounting experience, strong understanding of real estate partnerships, development, construction, and property management, proficiency in MRI, Yardi, Timeline, and advanced Excel, supervisory experience with the ability to lead and mentor a team, strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines, strong written and verbal communication skills with professional client interaction, and being self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to perform under pressure.
