The Business Management Lead is critical to evolve the support for and accelerate growth of the Infrastructure Advisory organization at Black & Veatch. Infrastructure Advisory has made significant progress since the introduction of our operating model and has a tremendous opportunity to establish rigorous operating practices and controls to enable sustained perpetual growth. This role will have the opportunity to provide leadership to help establish a strong foundation by designing fit-for-purpose business management capabilities, adapting from enterprise standards, and operating rhythms to enabled disciplined portfolio management bolstered by business analytics, execution controls, and operational governance to enable IA leadership to effectively oversee our business with data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Portfolio Management:
Establish and own portfolio management capabilities in collaboration with Finance, Chief of Staff and Solution Leaders. - Execution Controls & Quality Management:
Lead ideation, development and execution of suitable controls, processes, and solutions to enable commercial, delivery and operating excellence including project execution controls and at-risk tracking. - Business Management and Reporting:
Lead business analytics, portfolio insights, and executive reporting for the IA leadership team in collaboration with Finance & Chief of Staff. - Long Range Planning & Resource Management:
Partner with Finance, HR and IA Delivery Resource Management to support budgeting, overhead planning, long-range workforce planning, and resource forecasting.
Management Responsibilities:
- Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of business management, finance, operations, or consulting experience. Bachelor's degree required. Ability to operate effectively in large, matrixed organizations. Master's degree or MBA preferred. Experience in portfolio and financial management. - Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. 8+ years related experience in business operations, strategy, HR, or finance.

In accordance with local requirements, the annual compensation ranges for this role are listed below by state or jurisdiction and reflect the applicable office location(s) within each. Final compensation is determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal alignment, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law.
State of Colorado:
Low - $116,655 High - $194,535 State of New York:
Low - $132,563 High - $221,063
Certifications related to finance, operations, or business management preferred.
