Program / Project Manager, Operations Management
UTHealth Houston’s business affairs and strategy office is looking for a Project Manager who will plan, organize, and coordinate project management activities across strategic operations, communications, product development, program management, and platform development to ensure projects are implemented on schedule and within budget, and of the highest quality. You should have at least 5 years of project management experience and be ready to work in an office that is driving significant innovation across our institution.

Position SummaryPlans, organizes and coordinates project management activities across a variety of areas: strategic operations, communications, product development, program management, and web development in order to ensure the implementation of projects in a manner that maintains within budget, on-schedule, and of the highest quality.
Position Key Accountabilities- Provides project management support to workgroup leads, stakeholders, and schools across the institution. Coordination and management of project planning, project development, and strategic planning among various staff, and determines proper project delivery methods.
- Manages day-to-day coordination within operational platforms supporting assigned projects, including tracking systems, stakeholder reporting dashboards, and emerging platforms.
- May coordinate end-user training with school administration, user groups, faculty, and staff. May manage ongoing procurements and vendor relationships.
- Ensures project controls, tracking, performance measurement, reporting, and product delivery objectives are met.
- Reports on project status against milestones and supports leadership in preparing stakeholder-facing updates. Responsible for assisting with the management, implementation, and launch of new products and services.
- Serves as an internal point of contact for day-to-day coordination, reporting period support, and stakeholder activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment tools (Excel, Forms, Teams, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies and lifecycle (planning, execution, monitoring, closeout)
- Experience with task tracking, status reporting, and milestone management
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across departments/schools
- Strong customer service orientation in responding to stakeholder requests and questions
Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Leadership and Planning, Administration, or related field required.
Work ExperienceAt least five (5) years of experience in project management required.
Physical RequirementsExerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
