Safety Program Management
- Lead and support company-wide safety initiatives and programs
- Promote a culture focused on safety, accountability, and risk prevention
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and best practices
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and workplace assessments
- Monitor safety performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, and transportation industry regulations
- Maintain compliance records, documentation, and reporting requirements
- Conduct internal compliance reviews and audits
- Stay informed of regulatory changes and implement necessary updates
- Develop and enforce company policies that support compliance objectives
- Oversee driver qualification files, licensing requirements, background checks, and drug and alcohol testing programs
- Support onboarding and ongoing compliance verification processes
- Investigate accidents, incidents, claims, and safety-related concerns
- Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative action plans
- Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for leadership review
- Coordinate safety meetings, training sessions, and compliance education programs
- Partner with operations and management teams to ensure consistent safety practices
- Provide guidance on safety regulations, company policies, and compliance requirements
- Serve as a resource for employees, drivers, and leadership regarding safety-related matters
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and reduce risk
- Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices
- Experience managing safety programs, audits, investigations, and corrective actions
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and compliance reporting systems
- Experience in transportation, fleet operations, safety management, regulatory compliance, or a related field preferred
- Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement
