Position Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of office and campus facilities. The role oversees maintenance programs, facility operations, vendors, budgets, compliance, workplace services, and facilities staff while supporting business needs and long-term facilities planning.
Top Needs- Experience managing office or campus facilities, building systems, maintenance programs, and vendor-delivered services.
- Familiarity with building automation systems, access control, CCTV, CMMS platforms, and other facilities technologies.
- Experience managing facilities budgets, forecasting operating expenses, establishing maintenance priorities, and leading diverse facilities teams.
- Project & Contractor Management – Ability to successfully manage facility improvement projects, coordinate contractors and vendors, and balance operational priorities with ongoing project demands.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across employees, leadership, vendors, landlords, HSE, Security, IT, and other business groups.
- Lead day-to-day building and facilities operations.
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Oversee asset management, utilities, and workplace services.
- Lead facilities employees, contractors, and support personnel.
- Manage vendor, landlord, and service-provider relationships.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage operating and capital budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support facility improvement projects and renovations.
- Provide facilities-related support to business leaders and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive transition documentation covering key responsibilities, operational processes, active projects, vendors, contracts, risks, and critical contacts.
- Conduct knowledge-transfer sessions with designated employees, stakeholders, and successors to support continuity of Facilities operations.
- Support reassignment and handoff of Facilities responsibilities across Town Park, Brenham, and HPC/data‑center operations, including maintenance programs, inspections, vendor services, and compliance-related activities.
- Provide project transition summaries, including current status, open actions, risks, budgets, stakeholder information, and recommended next steps for active Facilities, infrastructure, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain vendor, contractor, landlord, and external stakeholder relationship information, including contact details, contract status, renewal schedules, and escalation procedures.
- Participate in transition planning, provide recommendations regarding interim coverage and future organizational needs, and support onboarding of interim or permanent successors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing facilities operations in corporate, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
- Leadership experience managing employees, vendors, and contractors.
- Strong budgeting, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA and regulatory compliance requirements.
