We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee general construction and Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) projects. The ideal candidate will manage multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract documents. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills, technical knowledge of metal building systems and conventional construction, and the ability to coordinate effectively with owners, designers, fabricators, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of multiple construction and Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) projects from contract award through final closeout. This position serves as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Contract Review and Analysis: Review customer and vendor contracts against project plans, specifications, and addenda to ensure alignment and accuracy.
- Project Accounting Coordination: Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of project receivables, payables, and profit margins.
- Purchasing Management: Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor selection, purchase orders, material tracking, and delivery scheduling.
- Submittals Management: Review, coordinate, and manage project submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents and timelines.
- Budget Management: Monitor project costs, forecast financial performance, manage change orders, and maintain project profitability.
- Request for Information (RFI) Management: Review, organize, and gather responses to internal and external RFIs, ensuring clarity and prompt resolution of inquiries.
- Project Scheduling: Manage and monitor project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
- Delivery Coordination: Manage project deliveries, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and components.
- Field Issue Resolution: Resolve field issues, RFIs, schedule impacts, quality concerns, and construction conflicts in coordination with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Coordination and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation and provide routine reporting on schedule, budget, procurement status, risk, and overall project performance.
- 5+ years of experience in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) as a project coordinator, project manager, or a related role is PREFERRED.
- Experience in General Construction as Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer is PREFERRED.
- Strong knowledge of PEMB systems, including intermediate knowledge of PEMB design and detailing concepts, contracts, drawings, specifications, and project management processes.
- Experience in blast and protective PEMB projects is not required but will be considered a plus.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
