SummarySenior Manager, Account Executive is responsible for leading and developing sales leaders and high-performing Account Executive teams for a defined segment or product. This role provides strategic direction, drives execution of sales plans, and ensures consistent performance across teams. It is essential for achieving strong revenue results, scaling effective sales processes, and supporting overall commercial strategy.
Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of managers and/or Account Executives, fostering a high-performance and high-accountability culture.
- Build and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business, account expansion, and retention within a defined segment or product.
- Develop scalable processes, playbooks, and operating rhythms that enable predictable and consistent execution across teams.
- Conduct regular reviews with managers and sellers---including 1:1s, forecast reviews, and strategic planning sessions---to support performance and territory management.
- Monitor sales pipeline, activity metrics, and forecasts, proactively identifying risks and adjusting strategy as needed.
- Provide guidance and insights on key opportunities, joining strategic deals as a player-coach when appropriate.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment, remove blockers, and support seamless customer engagement.
- Analyze team performance and KPIs to surface trends, root causes, and recommended actions for improvement.
- Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving sales effectiveness, operational efficiency, and customer outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, providing clear updates, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue targets
- Significant experience in B2B sales leadership, including leading managers and/or experienced Account Executives.
