Description
:
Manages the day-to-day operations of a small or medium-sized university program or department. May supervise staff, student workers, programs or processes.
Responsibilities- Plan and develop procedures for administering a small or medium-sized department or program.
- Oversee program expenditures and ensure adherence to budget.
- Provide guidance to subordinate staff and evaluate performance.
- Prepare or participate in the creation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.
- Review reports of budgets and activities.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
- Administer grants and grant-related communications, scholarships and other operations.
- Develop, implement and maintain appropriate policies and procedures.
- May serve as property custodian for the department.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education
:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program directly related to the type of work being performed.

A Project Manager for the Engagement Communications and Annual Giving area is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering communication-related projects on time, within budget, and according to organizational goals. This role is responsible for convening kickoff meetings, generating project timelines, tracking progress against deadlines and providing status reports.
- Project Planning and Management
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Monitor project progress, document progress, and adjust plans as needed.
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Become proficient in our project management software and provide suggestions and solutions.
- Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status updates.
- Gather requirements and feedback from clients, executives, and team members.
- Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Other
- Submit credit card and other expenditures for reimbursement.
- Prepare project status reports for management.
- Analyze results and recommend improvements for future projects.
- Project management experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication

- Leadership and team coordination
- Familiarity with communication and marketing tools
- Higher education and/or non-profit experience preferred
