About the Role:
As Executive Director - Chemical Markets Price Reporting, you will lead Dow Jones Energy's global chemicals price reporting business. You will oversee the editorial teams responsible for the assessment and publication of benchmark prices, assessments and market-moving news across global petrochemical and chemical markets from our PCW brand.
You ensure the integrity, quality, transparency, and market relevance of chemical price assessments while maintaining the highest ethical and methodological standards. You will lead a global team of price reporters and editors responsible for market coverage across key chemical value chains - including aromatics, olefins, plastics, polymers, syngas, methanol, feed stocks, and emerging chemical markets.
You will drive editorial excellence, benchmark innovation, and market engagement, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards. You will partner closely with Product, Standards & Compliance, Risk, and other Editorial leaders to ensure Dow Jones Energy's chemicals assessments remain trusted, transparent, and indispensable to global commodity markets.
You will report to the SVP - Markets & Price Reporting.

You Will:Lead and develop a global team of chemicals price reporters, editors, and market specialists, fostering a culture of editorial excellence, accountability, and collaboration
Ensure all chemical market assessments are developed, maintained, and published in accordance with the highest standards of price assessment integrity, market transparency, governance, and ethical conduct consistent with Dow Jones’ and The Wall Street Journal’s values
Lead methodology development, periodic methodology reviews, market consultations, and stakeholder engagement processes to ensure pricing methodologies remain robust, representative, and responsive to evolving market dynamics
Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, consumers, traders, brokers, exchanges, trade associations, and other market participants to strengthen market engagement, data integrity, and confidence in Dow Jones Energy's petrochemical and chemical markets assessments
Partner with Standards & Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable benchmark regulations, internal controls, audit requirements, and governance frameworks
Partner with Product to execute the strategic roadmap for global chemicals market coverage, including identifying opportunities for new benchmarks, market expansion, and portfolio optimization
Monitor benchmark performance, market adoption, customer feedback, and competitive developments - recommending changes to methodologies, coverage, and editorial priorities as appropriate
Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing editorial talent, ensuring appropriate succession planning, capability development, and organizational resilience across the chemicals price reporting organization
Act as a senior spokesperson and subject matter expert for chemicals markets, representing Dow Jones Energy at industry conferences, customer engagements, webinars, and regulatory forums
15+ years’ experience in commodity price reporting, market intelligence, or related information services organization
Deep knowledge of global chemicals and petrochemical markets, including physical market structures, trading practices, supply chains, and pricing mechanisms
Significant leadership experience managing geographically dispersed editorial, price reporting, or market analysis teams
Demonstrated experience developing, managing, or launching benchmark price assessments, methodologies, or market intelligence products
Strong understanding of IOSCO Principles for Oil Price Reporting Agencies and familiarity with benchmark regulation, governance, assurance, and audit requirements
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with senior leaders and external market participants
A university degree
