Veterans shape the future of energy As a Deputy Director, you will:
Co-lead the strategic direction, long-range planning, policy implementation, and day-to-day operations of the Technology Development Center to ensure activities align with agency headquarters' policies and national energy goals.Exercise full supervisory authority over a multi-disciplinary workforce (including subordinate supervisors, project managers, and technical staff) by setting performance standards, evaluating work, making selections, and directing training and employee development programs.Oversee the administration, execution, and rigorous accountability of hundreds of federally sponsored energy projects, cooperative agreements, grants, and contracts from initial research phases to commercial-scale deployment.Coordinate the formulation, justification, and execution of the federal program budget, conducts cost-benefit analyses, and ensures strict programmatic compliance with federal acquisition, financial assistance, and environmental regulations.Serve as a senior liaison and primary spokesperson to build strategic coalitions with other federal agencies, Congress, state and local governments, industry consortia, small businesses, and academic institutions.
