Bouchée Patisserie Manager
The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Bouchée Patisserie Manager to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. This role involves managing the team and the guest experience of Bouchée Patisserie.
Responsibilities include overseeing all day-to-day operations of the Patisserie, understanding hourly positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence or during peak volume periods, overseeing departmental scheduling, and regularly reviewing staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making;
demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example. The manager should identify the developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills. Compliance with all food & beverage policies, standards, and procedures is ensured by training, supervising, follow-up, and hands-on management. Handling guest problems and complaints is also part of the role.
Qualifications include aspiring to the values of being passionate, striving for excellence, remaining relevant, collaborating, and acting with honor and integrity. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a store manager or an assistant store manager in a coffee or bakery operation, preferably in a luxury setting, is required. A strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and retail/counter-service operations and the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
Physical demands include the ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and prolonged extended periods of standing.
