About
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead field service operations for steam turbine maintenance, repair, and overhaul projects across the United States. This is a leadership role responsible for managing field personnel, coordinating outage activities, ensuring HSE compliance, maintaining customer relationships, and supporting business growth.
Initially, you will play a key role in building service partnerships and supporting business development. As operations expand, you will recruit and lead an in-house field service team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage field service operations for steam turbine maintenance and overhaul projects.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage field service engineers, turbine mechanics, and subcontractors.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute field service projects while ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Serve as the primary customer contact throughout project execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial and power generation customers.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HSE, and industry regulations.
- Develop and enforce safety procedures, quality standards, and FME practices.
- Manage inventory, logistics, and supply chain activities supporting field operations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and final project reports.
- Support business development efforts and help grow the field service business across North America.
- Travel extensively to customer sites as required.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of field service experience in steam turbines, rotating equipment, or power generation
- Strong hands-on experience with steam turbine maintenance, repair, installation, and overhauls
- Experience leading field service teams and managing large industrial projects
- Experience supervising both union and non-union crews preferred
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations and compliance
- Ability to troubleshoot steam turbines and rotating equipment
- Experience managing contractors and customer relationships
- Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills
- Class A Contractor License or ability to obtain required licensing
- Willingness to travel extensively
