Fleet Supervisor
The Fleet Supervisor oversees teams responsible for fleet supplies, parts inventory, and quality assurance team members and functions. This role ensures that materials, components, QA activities, telematics reporting, database management, and inspection processes align with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and organizational performance goals. The Fleet Coordinator drives efficiency, accuracy, and accountability across multiple operational teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and high performing fleet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management: (20%)
- Lead, mentor, and develop teams responsible for supplies, parts management, and quality assurance team members and functions.
- Establish clear performance expectations, KPIs, and accountability structures.
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Coordinate staffing, training, and workload distribution to meet operational demands.
Fleet Supply & Parts Management: (20%)
- Oversee procurement, inventory control, and distribution of fleet supplies and parts.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, stock levels, and replenishment strategies to minimize downtime.
- Implement and maintain inventory management systems and best practices.
- Partner with vendors and procurement teams to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Quality Assurance Team Members & Functions: (20%)
- Manage quality assurance specialists who perform inspections, audits, documentation, and compliance activities.
- Coordinate and participate in state inspections alongside QA specialists to ensure regulatory compliance and fleet readiness.
- Monitor QA metrics and collaborate with fleet maintenance leadership to address trends or recurring issues.
- Support the development and implementation of QA policies, procedures, and training.
Telematics & Data Management: (20%)
- Oversee fleet telematics reporting, ensuring accurate tracking of vehicle performance, utilization, safety events, and maintenance indicators.
- Analyze telematics data to identify operational inefficiencies, safety concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage fleet databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility for reporting and decision making.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data tools that support leadership visibility and operational planning.
Operational Coordination: (15%)
- Collaborate with fleet maintenance, operations, procurement, and safety teams to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all managed functions.
- Identify process gaps and lead initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service quality.
- Ensure timely reporting, data accuracy, and operational transparency.
