Join a global energy leader accelerating the transition to carbon neutrality by 2050. With a bold target to produce over 100 TWh of renewable electricity by 2030, and one-third of that capacity coming from the U.S., this is your opportunity to contribute to the future of energy. Enjoy a hybrid work schedule while shaping high-impact initiatives in one of the most dynamic markets in the world.

Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Project Manager for our client, a Fortune Global 500 energy company advancing clean energy innovation across the U.S. This role supports the strategic growth of short-term power trading by managing complex projects across key U.S. markets—ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM—focused on asset onboarding, systems optimization, and product ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a portfolio of projects aligned with the short-term power roadmap.
  • Lead coordination of asset onboarding and integration across power markets and asset types (CCGT, BESS, PV).
  • Act as Product Owner for the Market Access tool, bridging users, IT, and SaaS providers.
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables with key stakeholders.
  • Allocate resources, assess risks, manage deadlines, and track project progress.
  • Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment.
  • Supervise consultants and contribute to the development of documentation and processes.
  • Monitor power markets and industry trends; assess impact on operations and strategy.
  • Represent the organization in market-related meetings and communicate action plans internally.
  • Manage product feature backlogs, user testing, and vendor coordination for system enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate degree in engineering, economics, finance, business, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in power or energy markets.
  • Strong knowledge of energy trading and the U.S. power market, especially short-term trading.
  • Experience in IT project management, including planning, vendor coordination, and product ownership.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
